We see York are to drive out the car from its city centre by 2023. Which includes not just ICE vehicles but electric and hybrid models too. The news broke after plans were approved by its city councillors.
Because they have set a target for the city to become carbon neutral by 2030. Their plans have inspired enthusiastic debate among residents and environmental groups. As we all know, being proactive regarding climate change is gaining momentum. But ensuring a city remains financially secure while doing it, is a delicate balancing act.
