LG Plates is GDPR Ready Software
Don’t about GDPR if you’re one of our number plate customers, because we are releasing GDPR Ready Software.
From the 25th May 2018 the General Data Protection Regulations or GDPR becomes law. And there’s been a lot of coverage in the media about massive fines, if you’re not compliant. So we want to reassure our customers, you don’t have to worry about your plates software.
This is because we’re rolling out an update to LG Plates, which includes GDPR compliance. Alongside that are improvements on plate layout and ensuring it’s in accordance with the Data Protection Act. Once you’ve been updated, your software will have tools to safely store customer data. And automatically delete your records after the legally required period as expired. So you’re not keeping personal information for any longer than needed.
GDPR Compliance Assured
Once you have been updated your software will comply with the new GDPR rules by:
- Only store information you are legally obliged to.
- All data is stored locally and in an encrypted format.
- Data is stored for no longer than is legally required.
- Stored information can only be viewed by authorised users.
- Personal details stored can be disclosed on request.
