Yesterday we embarked on our exciting tree planting adventure at Peacock Farm part of the I DIG TREES scheme. Well we did tell you we’re Branching Out.
Armed with spades, gloves, wellies and plenty of enthusiasm, we planted a variety of tree species including, English Oak, Silver Birch, Beech, Hazel, and Hawthorn. All in the name of protecting our woodlands and fighting climate change.
Despite the rain, wind, lots of mud and our achy backs from hours of digging and planting. Our spirits were lifted as we saw the landscape transform before our eyes with the addition of these young trees. We planted 1000 trees in total, all in the name of protecting our woodlands and fighting climate change.
We want to give a special shout-out to our little helpers, Erin, Milly, and Vitoria! We couldn’t have achieved this without you. And we’ll definitely revisit to see how the trees are doing.
