Replace C532 Toner Cartridges
This knowledge base article shows you how to Replace C532 Toner Cartridges, but ensure your replacement is genuine for compliancy reasons. Instructions that follow assume you are directly facing the front of the machine.
Your OKI C532 printer will let you know when it is time to replace a toner cartridge. First you’ll see warning messages on the display screen found on the control panel, warning a particular toner is getting low. This is when you need to order a replacement if you don’t have any. The message will change and prompt you to replace it once the cartridge is empty, it may even stop printing.
Open Top Cover

Before you can install a new toner, you’ll have to locate and remove the empty one. So start by opening up the front of your printer. Press the button (A), indicated on the image above, to open up your printer. Now you can hinge it up fully to reveal the printer innards and the toner cartridges.
Remove Empty Cartridge
Unlock the blue lever & pull the empty toner out
Identify the empty toner cartridge by its coloured label (K,C,M,Y). To remove a cartridge take hold of the blue lever (A) on the right hand side of the unit and turn it towards you until it lines up with the lug. This will unlock the toner cartridge, simply lift it out the machine and place it aside for later disposal.
Prepare New Cartridge
Unpack & gently shake the new toner
Unpack the replacement cartridge, shake it several times both vertically and horizontally to loosen its contents. Once you have loosen up its contents, it is ready to fit.
Insert New Toner Cartridge
Push in your new toner & lock it into place
Insert a replacement cartridge by aligning its left sides indentation (A) with the protrusion on the drum below, so the labels align. Now push the right side gently down into place and lock it in by pushing the blue lever (B) away from you.
Finally, close the printer front cover by simply pushing it down until it clicks into place. Press OK on the operator panel and the printer will detect your new toner cartridge. And remember we recommend cleaning the led heads regularly, while replacing toners or before starting a large production run.
