Power Up the C532
This knowledge base article shows how to power up the C532 OKI printer when you are ready to start your number plate production. Follow these simple instructions and ensure the power is turned off on the OKI printer and your computer until ready. We recommend using the USB cable to connect to a PC because it’s easier to set up and windows will do the majority of the work for you.
Check Cables are Connected
Start by checking the power lead (A) and the connectivity cable are connected to the printer and the computer securely. The ports can be found under the interface cover situated on the rear corner (B) above the power socket. The top port is used for USB cables and the bottom port for Ethernet connections.
Turn On the Printer
Once you’re happy the cables are alright, it’s time to turn on the C532 printer. Switch the mains on first, then press the printers power button (A) on the control panel for a second. The ready led light will turn green once the printer has started up and is ready for use. Getting the printer started up first means it can be detected faster by your computer or network.
Turn On the Computer
Next step is to power up and turn on the connected computer. Once it reaches the Windows desktop and has found the printer you’ll be ready to start work. If you have used an Ethernet cable to connect the printer to your network for sharing, it will need configuring and setting up.
How to Turn Off the C532
Always turn off the printer when not in use or when cleaning the LED heads. Simply turn off the printer using the control panel power button, then toggle the mains switch to the off position.
