Celebrating a Decade of Success: Nottingham Trent University Students Shine in Grads4Notts Challenge
We are thrilled to celebrate the remarkable achievement of three Nottingham Trent University students who recently participated in the Grads4Nottm two-week work experience challenge. At Tennants UK, we had the pleasure of setting a dynamic and engaging task for the talented trio, and they exceeded all expectations.
The Challenge
The students were tasked with creating a comprehensive video to showcase our number plate division. This included highlighting our production facility, Central Dashboard software, customisation options such as 3D GEL digits, point-of-sale number plate stands, our innovative number plate recycling scheme, and the variety of printing options available. The goal was to produce a video that not only informed but also captivated our audience, showcasing the high standards and innovation that define Tennants.
Outstanding Deliverables
Throughout the two weeks, the students demonstrated exceptional dedication and creativity. They meticulously planned and executed their project, resulting in a polished video that effectively captured the essence of our number plate division. But they didn’t stop there. The team also developed a comprehensive social media campaign and an eye-catching poster, demonstrating a holistic approach to marketing and communication.
Presentation and Recognition
Their hard work culminated in a presentation to a small group of peers and NTU staff, where they eloquently showcased their video, campaign, and poster. The presentation was a resounding success, and the students’ work was prominently featured on the final day of the challenge, allowing their efforts to be seen and appreciated by a wider audience.
A Decade of Grads4Notts
This year marked the 10th anniversary of the Grads4Notts scheme, a milestone that underscores its significant impact on the local community. Over the past decade, the program has connected 180 local businesses with over 850 students and graduates, fostering valuable partnerships and providing students with invaluable work experience. Notable supporters of Grads4Notts include Boots, Innovation Nottinghamshire, UNiDAYS, Nottingham Contemporary, and various NHS functions.
Our First, But Certainly Not Last, Participation
This was Tennants’ first year participating in the Grads4Notts scheme, and we are proud to be part of such an impactful initiative. The experience has been incredibly rewarding, and we highly recommend other local businesses within the Nottinghamshire region to get involved. Supporting and nurturing local talent is essential for promoting Nottingham as a premier destination for graduate employment, and initiatives like Grads4Notts play a crucial role in achieving this goal.
In conclusion, we extend our heartfelt congratulations to the Nottingham Trent University students for their outstanding work and thank the Grads4Notts team for orchestrating such a valuable program. We look forward to many more years of collaboration and success.
